George De Mohrenschildt and the Assassination of John F. Kennedy, Part 2

Marina Oswald gave George an autographed photograph of Lee holding a rifle, with the inscription For George. Lee Harvey Oswald. Hunter of Fascists, Ha. Ha. When he heard that someone tried to kill General Walker, he assumed it had been Oswald and went to their house to see if Oswald had disposed of the rifle. Marina Oswald told the Warren Commission that she heard him rush up the Oswald's stairs saying: "Lee, how did you miss General Walker? Oswald was said to have attempted to kill General Edwin Walker, a known rightist.

De Mohrenschildt was afraid of becoming implicated. In Haiti, George worked for Clint Murchison and was also a business partner of Mohammed al Fayed and Clamar J. Charles. A man who knew him in Haiti said "I could never figure out what he did" and just assumed he was an intelligence agent.

Autographed

George said Oswald was a patsy. In 1969, gun-runner Lauren Hall told De Mohrenschildt that he was offered ,000 to participate in the assassination. In the same year, George told a friend he thought H.L. Hunt was behind the assassination and added that he was the link between Hunt and Oswald. Haroldson L. Hunt had run paramilitary operations before, using CIA men. His assistants heard him say he would like to see Kennedy shot and that the country would be better off without JFK.

George De Mohrenschildt and the Assassination of John F. Kennedy, Part 2

Before Kennedy's inauguration, Hunt's "Facts Forum" was putting out religious appeals as to why Kennedy should not be permitted to enter the White House. The program had previously attacked Jews and supported Joseph McCarthy. On the eve of the assassination, Hunts various outlets were spewing hateful material about the president. He thought Kennedy was weak on communism and knew Kennedy wanted to tax oil wealth, almost like other forms of wealth. He also viewed democracy as the devil's work. One of his sons helped pay for a large Dallas newspaper ad attacking Kennedy that prompted the president to say the were entering "nut country." Some of Hunt's literature was found in Ruby's pocket after he shot Oswald.

After the assassination, the FBI briefly provided agents to protect Hunt while he and General Edwin Walker repaired to a Hunt hide-away in Mexico. Hunt was an admirer of LBJ and had strong ties to the Cuban exile community. Hunt had connections with the Chicago mob, and Murchison had a joint business venture with Louisiana mobster Carlos Marcello.Mafia messenger Eugene Hale Brading visited H.L. Hunt's office on the morning of November 21. He was arrested in Dealey Plaza on November 22 and later released. John Curington, Hunt's former chief aid, said Ruby also visited Hunt on the 21st.and thatr Marina Oswald met with Hunt on the 20th. On the 23rd, Hunt instructed Curington to look into the kind of security the police had for Oswald.

In 1975, Exhumation of Lee Harvey Oswald by English lawyer Michael Eddowes appeared. It claimed that a Soviet double for Lee Harvey Oswald killed John F. Kennedy. Some investigative writers claim to have established that H.L. Hunt financed the book. Hunt was known for his extreme political views and great wealth, taking in about ,000,000 a year. He spent large sums on political propaganda, and John F. Kennedy was concerned that men like him were using largely tax sheltered money for political purposes. Kennedy produced a plan to raise more revenue by changing tax treatment accorded the oil and gas industry.

In his last years, De Mohrenschildt became fearful that he was being watched and was in trouble with the CIA and FBI. On September 7, 1976, he sent a handwritten note to his old friend George H.W. Bush, Director of the CIA:

"I have been acting like a damn fool.....I tried to write, stupidly and unsuccessfully about Lee H. Oswald and must have angered a lot of people. But to punish an elderly man like myself and my highly nervous and sick wife is really too much. Could you do something to remove this net [of surveillance] around us?"

Soon thereafter, in the same month, he taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital for "mental problems" and was given nine electric shock treatments by Dr. Deloach, first cousin to Cartha D. "Deke" DeLoach , an assistant director of the FBI.

Later that year, he and long-time friend and Dutch investigative journalist Willem Oltmans went to the campus of Bishop College in Dallas. George told Dutch TV journalist that he was afraid of going to jail because he was responsible for guiding the behavior of Oswald; he "set it up." De Mohrenschildt wanted to get out of the country and that "the interests" -meaning the FBI and CIA were out to get him. He added that so was the "Jewish mafia" because they considered him pro-Nazi.

Soccer Formations - How to Choose the Best Formation for Your Team

If your team is U4 or U6, you don't need to worry about soccer formations, just have fun. But for teams that are U8 and older, the soccer formation you use can have a great deal to do with your team's success. The purpose of having a "soccer formation" is to ensure "support", "depth", "width" and field coverage on both offense and defense. Players are assigned a position and with it comes responsibilities. For example, a right side player (whether a Right Forward, Right Midfielder or Right Fullback) should not be way over on the left side of the field. (Right and left are as you face the other team's goal).

Does your team give up goals on breakaways, have trouble playing good offense or defense in the midfield, or not score enough goals? The problem may be that you are trying to make your team fit a formation and Style of Play instead of using a soccer formation and style of play that fits your team.

Autographed

To choose the best soccer formation for your team, you MUST start with an evaluation of your players, your objectives and the "Style of Play" you want to use. I suggest you choose a formation and a Style of Play that gives your team the best chance to be successful. If one of your goals is Fun, keep that in mind too.

Soccer Formations - How to Choose the Best Formation for Your Team

The term "Style of Play" means how you will attack and defend. For example, will you "Push Up" your Stopper and Fullbacks when you attack, or will you "Defend Deep"? It is ideal to Push Up your Fullbacks to support your attack, but you can only do that safely if your Fullbacks are as fast or faster than the opposing Forwards.

If you have a select team with 100% fast, skilled players, the best soccer formation for your team will probably be different than the best formation for a Rec team that has some unskilled and slow players.

A team that has fast, skilled players can Push Up and use the width of the field to attack, but a team that has slow and unskilled players can't. A great team can use a soccer formation that has "width" like a 3-2-2 or a 4-4-2, but for a typical Rec team it is more important to have a soccer formation with "Depth", like a 2-1-3-1 or a 3-2-3-2 and to stay strong in the Center of the field between the 2 goals (where the Center Fullback, Center Midfielder and Center Forward play).

This article is just an overview. There are many considerations and many different soccer formations depending on whether you play 4v4, 5v5, 6v6. 7v7, 8v8, 9v9 or 11v11. Remember that soccer formations always start with the player closest to the Goalkeeper and do not include the Goalkeeper. For example, a 1-3-1-3-2 would be a Sweeper, 3 Fullbacks, a Stopper, 3 Midfielders and 2 Forwards.

Start By Considering the Following 6 Things:

1. Your player's abilities.

2. Your player's speed and stamina.

3. The length and width of the field you play on.

4. Your opponent's ability, speed and stamina.

5. How much time do you have to practice? Some "Styles of Play", such as a "Possession Style" attack that "builds the attack from the back" are more difficult to teach, require a lot of practice, require a very high level of skill for EVERY player on your team, and have little margin for error because a mistake in your Defensive Third can give your opponent an easy goal.

6. Which is more important to you, to teach a Possession Style of Play, or to win games and have fun?

5 Important Factors You Should Consider When Selecting a Soccer Formation and Style of Play:

1. You cannot put a timid player at Fullback or you will get killed, but you can put a brave slow kid there as long as you either use a Sweeper or Defend Deep enough to not give up breakaways.

2. You want your strongest players in the "Center of the Field" (e.g., CFB, CMF and CF). You can win games by giving up the "wings", but if you give up the "Center" of the field you will probably lose because your opponent will drive straight through the Center and score. If you must make a choice, you must be strong in the Center.

3. If you have really weak players, Left Midfield and Right Midfield are the best places to put them.

4. If the opposing Forwards are faster than your Fullbacks, unless you use a Sweeper, the farther up you push your Fullbacks, the more likely it is that you will give up goals on breakaways.

5. If you don't have a lot of subs, you must consider how much running your players will do and whether they can last the entire game.

8 Questions to Answer Honestly:

1. Do you need to defend the entire field width?

2. Are you capable of defending the entire field width?

3. Can your opponents score on headers from crosses from the corner? If not, then you don't have to worry about pressuring the ball when it's in the corners of your Defensive Third.

4. Does your team have the skill to "spread the field" and play a Possession Style of attack?

5. Does your team have the skill to "build the attack from the back" against your opponents? Or are your chances better if you play a more "direct attack" style of play?

6. Can you score without Pushing Up your FB's to support your attack? Or is it necessary to Push Up the FB's in order for your team to score?

7. Are you trying to train your players so they can get a college scholarship or to have fun?

8. Is it more important to you to win games and have fun or to play a Possession Style of attack that builds the attack from the back?

Andy Warhol's Famous Marilyn Monroe Painting - Meaning

The art of Andy Warhol was a commentary on the condition of society and their obsession with fame and the famous. This included Andy, as he was completely enchanted by the American royalty of movie stars and celebrities. He was fascinated by the power that television had over the everyday person and saw the glowing box as something that was worshipped more often than most people go to church.

His art reflected his belief in that by taking what we may see as just part of our everyday life and showing us how embedded it is in our psyche and in everything that we do. Consider the Campbell's Soup Can art. Is it just a soup can? Was it a 'just' a soup can before Warhol's works became famous? No, Campbell's Soup was already a well established household name. Did Warhol paint them because it meant something? Warhol stated that the paintings represented nothing. No intent, no concept and no meaning.

Autographed

Art however is not about the artist's intention; it is about the receiver's application of their own meaning. Every decade that goes by, there will be new meanings applied to an artist's works depending on the events of the age in which they are viewed. Warhol's works could today be viewed as an expose on the condition of our throw away lifestyle. This could even be said about Warhol's Marilyn Monroe Painting.

Andy Warhol's Famous Marilyn Monroe Painting - Meaning

Just as a can of the Campbell's Soup, Marilyn was iconic, filled her admirer's with a warm, good feeling and then was carelessly emptied and thrown away. In the great stretch of time, perhaps Warhol was right, the paintings are of nothing, the soup means nothing and perhaps Marilyn was treated by society in the very same way. So many people love her now, even today. Can a person's life and accomplishments be condensed to a painting that represents nothing?

Warhol's paintings can really make one think about what the priorities of humanity are. The things that we put so much importance on are so fleeting and when they are made larger than life on a canvas, they force us to think of our mortality. Many of Warhol's works were in a way tied very heavily to religion.

He made use of gold leaf in the tradition of iconic paintings of Byzantine Catholics. In Gold Marilyn Monroe depicts her iconic status, the worship of her admirers and the sheer loneliness of her life. Her face is painted as if she were in a newsprint advertisement, another throw away in our lives. Warhol continually brought attention to the fame that elevated objects and people to a religious following.

It is hard to make a strong emotional connection by simply studying a Warhol painting. Only those that already have a preconceived emotional tie to the subject of his paintings can feel anything from them. They do however, immediately invoke a memory, and those memories spark emotions. Looking at Marilyn Monroe in a Warhol painting can mean nothing to the viewer if they have never heard of Marilyn Monroe and her story.

Negative Cut Goalkeeper Gloves, What Are They?

What are Negative Cut Goalkeeper Gloves?

I have to admit I am a BIG FAN of negative cut goalkeeper gloves even though they might not be most goalkeeper's number one choice of gloves.

I am not sure if it's my personal hand shape but they feel so much more comfortable than other gloves. At the moment most goalkeepers tend to go for the roll finger goalie gloves (which is OK if these feel good on you) but I do not like the feel, and also the roll finger goalkeeper gloves always seem tight on my fingers

Negative Cut Goalkeeper Gloves, What Are They?

Maybe it's because I have short stumpy (fat!) fingers that's why the negative cut gloves are better for me, but heh we are all different.

Believe it or not but most people do not know what negative cut goalkeeper gloves are?

So what are they?

Basically the stitching of the glove is INSIDE rather than the conventional outside of the goalkeeper glove. By putting this stitching inside means there is more palm on show which equates to more contact space for the ball.

So thirty years being around goalkeeper gloves, twenty of which I have been a professional goalkeeper and professional goalkeeper coach, so I know my business when it comes to picking the correct goalkeeper gloves.

I remember wearing the negative cut goalkeeper gloves when they first came out and even back then I thought they were a great feeling glove. So if you have short stumpy fingers like me, maybe try these goalkeeper gloves out.

So how do you know if the negative cut goalkeeper glove is for you?

Simple: Try them on!

Just because most keepers wear roll finger today does not mean negative cuts are a bad glove because this is simply not true. Neg cuts are just as good as any other glove on the market.

And if you are like me and have wide thick hands, these gloves will probably be a lot better than the tighter fitting roll finger goalkeeper gloves anyway!

So go and try a pair or two on.

What negative cut goalkeeper gloves would I recommend?

Too be honest this is where I would love to say, 'heh we have a cracking pair in the just4keepers glove range'... but we do not do this goalkeeper glove cut at the moment. However I am trying to persuade all the other coaches I work with to bring out our own negative cut range but up to now this is falling on deaf ears, as like the masses, they all prefer roll finger!

So going back to above, which negative cut would I recommend?

I have mentioned this is many articles, I actually think its wrong for ANYONE to recommend you a glove without seeing your hands first. Because everyone's hands are different, it's wrong and unfair to say a particular glove is correct for you.

Instead what I recommend you do is pick three or four glove companies that have been going for five years plus and see what negative cuts you like, go and try them on and go from there!

Why a company that's five years plus old?

Nothing against the newer companies, even though there are some poor keeper gloves out on the market now that new companies are developing, there are also some brilliant ones!

However by going with a company that is established at least you know the chances are you will get your money back if the gloves do not meet your standards and you want to return.

I hope this advice helped you on how to pick the best negative cut goalkeeper glove?

5 Reasons Behind the Deployment of a 4-5-1 System or Formation in A Soccer or Football Game

In the modern game of soccer or football recently, a formation or system 4-5-1 has enjoyed a much higher played ratio especially by smaller clubs or clubs or nations playing away. Here are five reasons why such a formation or system is employed.

A definition of the system is first needed. A 4-5-1 would refer to the deployment of one goalkeeper, four defenders, five midfielders and a striker. An example of a team making a success of the formation is the Greek National in European Football Championships 2004 where they emerge as champions with the deployment of such a system. And now for the reasons.

Autographed

Flexibility - Football or soccer is a fast paced game where an attack can be turned into the counter attack by the opposition if possession is lost. Hence the deployment of a 4-5-1 system allows the flexibility in both attack and defense. In attack or possession of the ball, the left and right midfielders would operate as wingers to push up and join the lone striker. Furthermore of the three central midfielders, one or two can also push to join the attack while the remaining midfielder would drop back to assist the defense in case of a break or counter attack by the opposition. As for defense or without possession of the ball, a five midfield in theory would be able to pressure the opposition to win back the ball. Another example, the five man midfield would add more steel into midfield portion to win or retain possession to ease off pressure at the back. Defending a one goal Lead - In some matches, the game can be very close one where a single goal can decide the outcome. Hence some managers would like to employ 4-5-1 formation to defend the lead in the last ten to twenty minutes of the game. The flexibility of the system is already explained under point 1. The system would also enable the team to launch counter attack if needed when the opposition throws caution to wind for an equalizer. The other purpose is to pass the ball around to run down the clock and the best way to do so is to keep possession. Playing an Away Game - In the modern league games, a point from a game drawn especially if the game is away or against a strong opposition is crucial. The reason is simple as most home teams would go out to try their best to win at home with their supporters behind them acting as the 12th man. For example, in recent games like Liverpool verses Birmingham City or Manchester United verses Reading, both City and Reading employed a 4-5-1 system to stifle the midfield of Liverpool and United. The system would usually enable a team to come away with a point or avoid a mauling at hand of strong opposition. Such a point usually meant a victory for the smaller clubs. Playing against Stronger Opposition - As mentioned in point 3, playing against strong opposition at home, a 4-5-1 system would be employed for the same rationale of getting a point or avoiding a heavy defeat. Such a attitude towards game can be seen as a defeatist attitude, but survival in the top leagues around the world would mean huge revenue for clubs. An example is the English Premiership where millions can be lost if a team is relegated. Hence some teams would rather employ such a formation to ensure of a low scoring defeat or a draw game for a point while a more attacking one when facing opposition of similar status. Injuries - This is the least common reason why a 4-5-1 formation would be deployed. The reason is a very simple one. There are usually more defenders and midfielders than strikers in the club. Hence if a club has a striker injury situation, it may be more inclined to employ such a system than others. Furthermore deploying players in familiar positions would be having a much better effect than playing them in an untrained position.

5 Reasons Behind the Deployment of a 4-5-1 System or Formation in A Soccer or Football Game

Hence the above reasons should help to explain the rationale behind the employment of a 4-5-1 system or formation.

Famous British Authors - Ten Best-Loved

Which famous British authors made it to The Big Read? A survey conducted in 2003 by the BBC to reveal the UK's best-loved book? What novels are they famous for? And which of their books were in the Top 200 list?

There are a few things to consider, though, if you want to enjoy reading the novels written by the best-loved, famous British authors. First, determine where your interests lie. You may be interested in contemporary novelists, or perhaps you are more intrigued by classic writers? Works of English literature originating prior to World War II is considered by most to be classical in nature, whereas novels written during or after that war could be called contemporary fiction. An example of a classic writer would be Chaucer and Ernest Hemingway is a contemporary.

Autographed

Another consideration might be which genres interest you most. Loosely defined these fall into ten categories: action-adventure, crime, detective, fantasy, horror, mystery, romance, science fiction, thriller or western. Depending on what you find entertaining and that which grabs your attention, this can be an important factor when contemplating reading novels by an author you are as yet unfamiliar with.

Famous British Authors - Ten Best-Loved

You also need to understand the universal themes associated with the writing of fictional work; they include Imagination, Identity, Conflict, Love, Humour, Belonging, Time, Faith and Place. Be aware that many novels revolve around one or more of these themes and that several themes can be the focus of just one book. One author should not be thought of as the quintessential romanticist, humourist, or even imaginative writer as each author often considers a combination of themes and complex ideas when creating a novel so consider exploring these concepts before deciding to 'pigeon-hole' specific writers with a particular theme or genre.

Here are ten randomly selected authors from the books nominated in The Big Read.

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - The winner was indubitably Lord of the Rings by this fantasy writer. Tolkien's The Hobbit also made the Top 100. Other works of Tolkien include The Silmarillion.
Terry Pratchett - Britain's comic fantasy author had fourteen of his titles in that list: Mort, Good Omens, Guards! Guards! Night Watch, The Colour of Magic, Small Gods, Reaper Man, Wyrd Sisters, Hogfather, Men At Arms, Thief of Time, The Fifth Elephant, The Truth and Witches Abroad.
Joanne K. Rowling - A fantasy writer of Harry Potter fame was another novelist with four titles making the grade: Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets and Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban.
Jacqueline Wilson - Another novelist not to be ignored, a writer of children's books; also with fourteen titles of distinction: The Story of Tracy Beaker, Double Act, Vicky Angel, Girls In Love, The Illustrated Mum, The Dare Game, Bad Girls, Lola Rose, Girls In Tears, Sleepovers, Secrets, Girls Out Late, Dustbin Baby and The Suitcase Kid. Wilson's novels are typically realistic stories about modern British children facing problems in their daily lives. In 2005 this writer was announced as the Children's Laureate.
Charlotte Bront - Three of the five Bront sisters became romance writers. Charlotte's Jane Eyre made the Top 21.
Emily Bront - Emily's Wuthering Heights also made the Top 21 but alas Anne's Agnes Grey missed the boat! For a family plagued with illness these sisters were remarkably successful.

Charles Dickens - These seven Dickens' masterpieces were given a 'thumbs up!' Great Expectations, David Copperfield, A Christmas Carol, A Tale Of Two Cities, Bleak House, The Pickwick Papers and Oliver Twist. Amongst other works he is remembered also for two of his other major contributions to literature: The Life and Adventures of Nicolas Nickleby and The Old Curiosity Shop. Besides Master Twist the likes of such characters as Ebenezer Scrooge, Fagin, Mrs. Gamp, Charles Darnay, Micawber, Abel Magwitch, Pecksniff, Miss Havisham and Wackford Squeers will doubtless live on forever through his books.
Lewis Carroll - Carroll's Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, made it to the Top 100, inspired by a young girl named Alice Liddell, is among the books recommended. Other works from Carroll include Through The Looking-Glass and Jabberwocky.
Robert Louis Stevenson - With the exception of this Scotsman (and South African born J.R.R. Tolkien), all other novelists mentioned here were English. Stevenson's Treasure Island was naturally considered one the best-loved books written by a British author. His other famous books include Kidnapped, The Body Snatcher and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Jane Austen - Austen's Pride and Prejudice made it to the Top 21. Other significant romantic fiction novels written by Austen include Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park and Emma.

The writers spoken of here are only a few of the best-loved famous British authors but there are many more besides these.
